Ms. Fatema Azimi successfully completed her master's thesis on February 26, 2026. The thesis, entitled “Antibacterial multi-component oxide ceramic by doping with the sol-gel route,” was carried out in the Precursor group of the Chair of Ceramic Materials Engineering with the kind support of the Chair for Process Biotechnology. Through this work, Ms. Azimi was able to show that monolithic ceramic bodies with antibacterial properties can be produced using the sol-gel process.
