October 6–7, 2026 DGM Training Course “Ceramic Matrix Composites”

On October 6 and 7, 2026, the DGM training course “Ceramic Matrix Composites: Properties, Processing and Applications” will once again be hosted at the Chair of Ceramic Materials in Bayreuth.
The course offers a comprehensive introduction to modern fiber-reinforced ceramics, covering everything from fundamental material properties and fiber–matrix systems to key manufacturing processes such as PIP, LSI and CVI. Participants will also gain insight into current applications in high-temperature lightweight structures, mechanical engineering, and aerospace.
The program is designed for researchers, engineers, and professionals from academia and industry who are interested in advanced ceramic materials and their industrial applications.
